Here is a fabulous and rare, all original Omega Seamaster Chronometer from 1969. The silver sunburst dial has taken on a gentle and even patina and is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The dauphine hands with the original black contrast are in fair condition with some corrosion visible, in particular on the minute hand. The cyclops eye at 3 o’clock in the original plexiglass shows the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The wide stainless steel bezel is in excellent condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case with a polished face and brushed sides has the original crown and heavy lugs and is in excellent condition with just a few small marks. The stainless steel case back is in excellent condition, with a well preserved hippocampus logo in its center and just a couple of marks. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in very fine condition.

Inside the watch, perhaps the best watch movement ever made, the Omega 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Chronometer versions of the Seamaster are rare, and this wide bezeled reference in this condition is a real find. This is a watch that will fit into any vintage collection while also being a watch that can be worn as part of a regular rotation schedule.
