Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Seamaster 30 from 1963. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo and faceted steel wedge hour markers with lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion bubbles around the dial, none of which are really visible but which make the dial seem to sparkle. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with some overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 3, 7 and 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown and faceted batman lugs is in fine condition with some overall wear, both at the lugs and on the case sides. The stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus medallion and some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s fantastic 286 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The Seamaster 30 was named for the size of its movement, not for water resistance depth as is often thought. The movement is relatively large in size and correspondingly made the watch quite large for its time. Combined with the slim profile, this watch sits very snugly on the wrist.
