Here is a wonderful and rare, all original Omega “Meister“ De Ville from 1969. The brushed silver dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo and black lettering. It has steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends. There is a small mark to the right of the 11 o’clock hour marker and some faint wear along the rim of the top of the dial. The baton hour and minute hands have the original black contrast and lume and are in fine condition with light wear visible under close scrutiny. The hack feature stops the seconds hand when setting the time. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the quick-set date. This function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs has a sunburst face and polished sides. The face shows a few marks, most prominent towards the upper right lug and there are also a few small marks on both case sides. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed finish and a few small marks of wear and age. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market stainless steel bracelet of good quality. It is large enough for big wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1002 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
