Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Genève from 1972. The brushed blue dial is in fine condition, with a white script Omega logo and lettering. It has steel bar hour markers with white contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double at 12 o’clock. Most of the lume dots have disintegrated and caused corrosion to the dial around them and there is also some marks at the inner ends of some of the hour markers, most prominent at 2 o’clock. The white baton hour and minute hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume intact albeit somewhat degraded. The white framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown to the outermost position. This should only be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The angular cushion shaped stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in fine condition, with light wear on both the brushed face and the polished sides, perhaps most prominently on the right side of the face. The stainless steel back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and a polished rim, showing some wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market stainless steel bracelet of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 613 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This is a very timeless and classic design that still manages to be typical of the 70’s. The watch looks magnificent on the wrist and will serve you well as part of a regular rotation, while also being a great and understated watch for formal occasions.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
