Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Genève from 1971. The silver sunburst dial has a black script Omega logo and emblem and is in excellent condition with barely any marks. It has steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends. The baton hands are in fine condition with the original black contrast and somewhat degraded lume and its adjacent metal. The black framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel case with straight, elegant lugs and the original crown is in very fine condition with only light overall wear both at the lugs and on the case sides. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed center and a sunburst pattern on the sloped rim. It has just a very few marks and carries the inscription “Waterproof”. The case has been restored.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The wonderful dial and case matches with one of the best movements ever made to make this a watch that is easy to love. It sits very nicely on the wrist and it will serve you well for many years to come.
