Here is a lovely, all original Omega Genève from 1971. The silver sunburst dial has a black script Omega logo and emblem and steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double marker at 12 o’clock. It is in very fine condition apart from a faint mark at the 7 o’clock hour marker. The baton hands are in good condition with the original black contrast and lume. The lume has degraded and affected the surface around it, particularly on the hour hand.

The stainless steel case with straight, elegant lugs and the original crown is in good condition with some overall wear both at the lugs and on the case side and in particular a scuff where the lower left lug meets the bezel. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a brushed center and a sunburst pattern on the sloped rim. It has a few marks and scratches and carries the inscription “Waterproof”. The case does not seem to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 565 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The wonderful dial and unpolished case matches with one of the best movements ever made to make this a watch that is easy to love. It sits very nicely on the wrist and it will serve you well for many years to come.
