Here is a fantastic and rare, all original Omega Genève from 1973 in a large size for the era. The brushed silver dial is in excellent condition, with black lettering and steel bar hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends, double markers at 12 o’clock. The baton hands with black contrast and the original lume are in very fine condition with ever so slight degradation to the lume. When the crown is pulled out to set time, the hack stops the seconds hand for more accurate time setting. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock shows the weekday and date. The date can be quick-set with the crown pulled out to the middle position and the weekday can be quick-set by turning the hands backwards. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 7 and 9 o’clock. The large brushed C-shaped stainless steel case with integrated lugs and the original crown is in very fine condition, with a radially brushed face and brushed sides with a thin polished bevel separating them. It shows only light overall wear. The brushed stainless steel case back is in fine condition, with a few marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The watch comes on an after market Milanese steel bracelet of good quality.
Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 1022 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2024 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This is a great watch to wear with its fabulous condition and contemporary size. It is a very versatile watch that can be worn for most occasions and is also a great daily driver.
