Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation Pie Pan Chronometer from 1962. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has arrow tail shaped steel hour markers at the poles and faceted steel bar hour markers in between, all with black onyx inlay. There is a scatter of tiny corrosion spots around the dial, none of which are really visible to the naked eye but which give it a wonderful patina. The dauphine hands are in fine condition with some marks visible under magnification, in particular at the base of the hour hand. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again until the date changes. Repeat as necessary.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with light overall wear. The stainless steel case with the original crown and the characteristic dog leg lugs is in very fine condition with only a few marks of wear. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean steel Geneva observatory medallion and is in very fine condition with just a few marks. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Omega buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Omega’s high grade 561 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

The dog leg Constellation is one of the vintage lovers’ favorites, and this is a watch that loves to be worn. It looks great on the wrist with its vintage condition and will serve its next owner well for years and years.
