Here is a fabulous, all original Omega Constellation from 1969. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem, and Constellation star and barely any marks. It has wedged steel hour markers with black contrast. The markers look a bit golden in the photos but that is simply a photography effect. The dauphine hands are in very fine condition, with the original black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Setting the date should always be done with the hands at the lower half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition, continuing the sunburst pattern of the dial and with a few marks of wear such as at 3, 5, 6 and 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case with the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear on both sides and the lugs. The stainless steel case back has a crisp and clean steel Geneva observatory medallion and is in fine condition with some overall wear and in particular one deeper mark. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Omega’s perhaps best movement ever, the 564, beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in November 2023 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

Constellations are wonderful and timeless watches and the near mint dial on this one makes it a real find. This is a watch that looks great on the wrist and can be worn for most occasions.
