Here is a wonderful, all original Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1969. The grey sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a steel Omega logo, emblem and Constellation star. It has steel strip hour markers with black contrast and lume dots at the outer ends. There are a few marks around the dial, most notable towards the 9 o’clock hour marker, light wear around some of the hour markers as well as some disintegration of the lume and the paint around it. The baton hands are in very fine condition with the original lume and black contrast intact. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the manual set weekday in English and the date. The date can be semi quick-set by repeatedly pulling the crown out to the outermost position. Quick-setting the date should always be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.
The stainless steel bezel has a subtle sunburst pattern and is in fine condition with light overall wear, most notable a nick at around 4 o’clock. The C-shaped stainless steel case with the original crown is in fine condition, with polished facets and brushed sides. It shows some overall wear, most notable a few marks on the left side and a scuff on the right side. The stainless steel case back is in good condition, with a well preserved Geneva observatory medallion and a number of scratches and marks. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.
The original brick wall steel bracelet is in fine visual condition, showing some stretching and overall wear. It is big enough for large wrists. Make sure the specific bracelet size listed in the details is not too small for your wrist as finding spare links for old bracelets is very difficult. The bracelet can be shortened by up to about 2cm simply by moving a spring bar in the clasp.
