Here is a fabulous, all original LeCoultre Master Mariner from 1967 in a rare reference. The brushed golden dial is in very fine condition, with a black script JLC logo and black. At the poles are steel Roman numerals, and in the deep rehaut are lume stripe markings with black painted minute stripes in between. There are a few aging marks on the dial, such as at 2 and 3 o’clock as well as just above the dial’s center. The baton hands are in very fine condition, with the original lume and black contrast, the seconds hand with a lume-filled circle towards the tip.
The 10K gold filled case with the original crown and short, straight lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear, most notable at the “bezel” at around 1-2 o’clock. The 10K gold filled case back is in fine condition with a radially brushed finish and some scratches and marks.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
Inside the watch, JLC’s high grade K880 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2021 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
