Here is a wonderful, all original King Seiko 56KS Hi-Beat from 1974. The silver sunburst dial is in very fine condition, with steel Seiko and KS logos and strip steel hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There are a couple of tiny spots just below the Seiko logo, in particular at the word “Automatic”. There is also slight wear around the edge of the dial, most notable at around 8-10 o’clock. The wear is not really visible to the naked eye. The faceted dauphine hands are in very fine condition. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date and weekday in Kanji and English. The quick-set should only be done with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The large and angular stainless steel case with the original crown and embedded lugs is in very fine condition, with sharp angles and only light overall wear, perhaps most prominent at around 10 o’clock. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition, with a radial finish and the model engravings. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original Seiko buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade 5625A movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in August 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
