Here is a fabulous, all original King Seiko 56KS Hi-Beat from 1970. The silver sunburst dial is in excellent condition, with steel Seiko and KS logos and steel bar hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. The faceted dauphine hands are in very fine condition, with the characteristic black contrast stripe down the middle. The hack stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out to set the time, so the time can be set more accurately. The steel framed window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date and weekday in Kanji and English. The quick-set function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The large cushion shaped case with the original KS crown and embedded lugs is in very fine condition with only light overall wear. The stainless steel case back is in excellent condition, with a well preserved gold KS medallion and only very light overall wear. The case has been refinished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality with the original KS buckle in fine condition.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade, Hi-Beat 5626A movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in April 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
