Here is a wonderful, all original King Seiko 1^st generation from 1963. The silver sunburst dial is in fine condition, with a black script KS logo and black polished steel hour markers, double at 12 o’clock. There is some wear around the center of the dial and also along its edge, most pronounced at around 3 o’clock. There is also a small bump at around the word "King". The beveled dauphine hands are in very fine condition.

The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with light overall wear. The stainless steel case with long, faceted lugs and the original crown is in fine condition with some overall wear, mostly along the left case side and the outside of the left lugs. The stainless steel case back has a well preserved KS shield of the 1^st generation and is in fine condition with some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, Seiko’s high grade King Seiko movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-12 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in May 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.

We don’t see the 1^st generation KS too often, and the wonderful condition of this one is very attractive to a vintage lover. With the outstanding engineering of the King Seiko series, this is a great watch for any occasion and collection.
