Here is a fabulous, all original Jaeger-LeCoultre from 1978 in an ultra-thin version. The subtly brushed silver dial is in very fine condition, with a black painted JLC logo and steel strip hour markers with black contrast, double at 12 o’clock. There is a small mark at the edge of the dial at around 2 o’clock and under magnification a few tiny marks can be seen at around 5 and 11 o’clock. The baton hands with the original black contrast are in very fine condition. Note that this watch does not have a seconds hand in order to keep the profile ultra-thin. The window at 3 o’clock displays the quick-set date. This function should only be used with the hour hand at the bottom half of the dial.

The ultra-slim stainless steel case with the original crown and slender lugs is in fine condition with light overall wear, both at lugs and the case sides. The case back is in fine condition, with a brushed center and polished sides, showing some overall wear. The case does not appear to ever have been polished.

The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.

Inside the watch, JLC’s fabulous 900 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-8 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in January 2025 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
