Here is a fantastic, all original Ed. Heuer & Cie Moonphase Chronograph from 1985. The white dial is in very fine condition, with large Arabic numerals in black script marking the hours and an outer ring marking the minutes and seconds/sub-seconds. The dial has four sunken subdials with golden rims. The 12 o’clock subdial shows the moonphase with a blue background and golden stars and moon, with the date indicated around the rim of the subdial. The 3 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph minute counter, the 6 o’clock subdial shows the chronograph hour counter and the 9 o’clock subdial shows the running seconds. There are a few minor spots around the dial, perhaps most notable at the 6 o’clock subdial. A tachymeter scale in red lettering is indicated on the deep rehaut. The chronograph seconds is indicated by the central seconds hand. All hands are painted black, including the central leaf shaped hour and minute hands.
The gold plated stainless steel bezel is in very fine condition, with only light overall wear. The gold plated case with the original crown and chronograph pushers is in very fine condition, with a brushed face and sides and only light overall wear. The left side of the watch has two quick-set pushers, the upper pusher is for setting the date, the lower pusher for setting the moonphase. The extraordinary hooded lugs make the watch really stand out with a very sophisticated design. The stainless steel case back is in very fine condition with the inscription “Ed. Heuer & Cie, Switzerland” centrally.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap and buckle of good quality.
Inside the watch, Lemania’s legendary 1883 movement beats strongly and accurately to within about +-10 seconds per day. The watch was fully serviced in February 2026 and comes with a 12 month warranty on its proper mechanical functioning.
This was the last watch Heuer & Cie ever made before merging with Tag to become Tag Heuer, and what a way to end the standalone Heuer brand! This is a very stately watch with a lot of history to it, made to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the company and paying homage to Edouard Heuer, the founder. This is a watch that not only looks fantastic on the wrist, it will add to any collection and can be passed on to the next generation.
Our watches are delivered in a luxury wooden watch box, fully serviced with a 12 month warranty that covers the mechanical functioning of the watch under normal use. We offer 14 days full return rights and are very proud of our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction.
NB! Note that we are based in Switzerland and that the buyer is responsible for any import fees their country may impose on a purchase from abroad. Ask us if you have any questions.
